I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave thou them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 Implore not today; verily ye from Us are not to be succoured. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
