It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 It is He who multiplied you on the earth, and it will be before Him that you will be gathered. 79 It is He who gives you life and death, and His the alternation of night and day. Even then you do not understand, 80 But nay, they speak as the people of olden times did speak: 81 they say: "What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 82 Certainly we are promised this, and (so were) our fathers aforetime; this is naught but stories of those of old. 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 [And they will reply: "Unto God." Say: "Will you not, then, bethink yourselves [of Him]?" 85 Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty dominion? 86 [And] they will reply: "[All this power belongs] to God." Say: "Will you not, then, remain conscious of Him?" 87 Say: Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things and Who gives succor, but against Him Succor is not given, if you do but know? 88 They will say: "God's." Say: "Then why are you so deluded?" 89 In fact We have sent the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 Allah has not chosen any child, nor any other God along with Him – were it so, each God would have taken away its creation, and each one would certainly wish superiority over the other; Purity is to Allah above all the matters they fabricate. 91 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind and hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity! 92
