Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 O our Lord! Take us out of it; then if we return (to evil) surely we shall be unjust. 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say, “We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count.” 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
