Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans; 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say, "You only stayed for a little while, if only you knew. 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
