Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
God the Almighty always says the truth.
