Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. 61 it is He who has made night and day succeed each other, a sign for those who would take heed and would be grateful. 62 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, 63 They are those who spend the night worshipping their Lord, prostrating, and standing, 64 who pray, "Lord, protect us from the torment of hell; it is a great loss. 65 "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; 66 who, when they expend, are neither prodigal nor parsimonious, but between that is a just stand; 67 And those who call not unto other god along with Allah and slay not any soul which Allah hath forbidden, save in justification, and commit not fornication. And whosoever shall do this, shall incur the meed. 68 The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; 69 But only those who repent and believe and act righteously will have their sins replaced by virtue; God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 70 And whosoever repenteth and worketh righteously, then verily he repenteth toward Allah with a true repentance. 71 and those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle talk, pass by with honor 72 And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind. 73 who say, 'Our Lord, give us refreshment of our wives and seed, and make us a model to the godfearing.' 74 They will all receive Paradise as their reward for their forbearance and patience, where they will be greeted with, "Peace be with you." 75 Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an abode and place of rest! 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
