And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 "So allow the Children of Israel to go with us.' " 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 And [as for] that favour of which thou so tauntingly remindest me - [was it not] due to thy having enslaved the children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
