And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me; 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the apostles; 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 Said he: "Even if I should bring about before thee something that clearly shows the truth?" 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
