The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
