When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses replied, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you want to be certain". 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Pharaoh said, "If you take any deity other than myself, I will throw you into prison," 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
