۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Fir'awn sent unto the cities callers: 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
