3/4 Hizb 33
< random >
Before him Noah cried out to Us, and We heard his prayer. We saved him and all his household from a great distress. 76 And We succoured him against the people who belied Our signs; verily they were a people evil, so we drowned them all. 77 And David and Solomon -- when they gave judgment concerning the tillage, when the sheep of the people strayed there, and We bore witness to their judgment; 78 And We explained the case to Sulaiman; and to both We gave the kingdom and knowledge; and subjected the hills to proclaim the Purity along with Dawud, and (also subjected) the birds; and these were Our works. 79 And We taught him how to make garments [of God-consciousness] for you, [O men,] so that they might fortify you against all that may cause you fear: but are you grateful [for this boon]? 80 And unto Sulaiman We subjected the wind, strongly raging, running at his command toward the land wherein We had placed Our blessing; and of evrything We are the knowers. 81 And of the rebellious people there were those who dived for him and did other work besides that, and We kept guard over them; 82 ۞ And Job, when he cried unto his Lord, (saying): Lo! adversity afflicteth me, and Thou art Most Merciful of all who show mercy. 83 We therefore heard his prayer and removed the adversity that had afflicted him, and We gave him his family and in addition bestowed along with them a similar number, by mercy from Ourselves and an advice for the people who worship. 84 And remember Ismail, and Idrees, and Zul-Kifl; they were all patiently enduring. 85 And We admitted them into Our mercy; indeed they are among those who deserve Our proximity. 86 And (mention) Dhu'n-Nun, when he went off in anger and deemed that We had no power over him, but he cried out in the darkness, saying: There is no Allah save Thee. Be Thou Glorified! Lo! I have been a wrong-doer. 87 Thereupon We accepted his prayer, and rescued him from grief. Thus do We rescue the believers. 88 And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors." 89 We therefore heard his prayer; and bestowed him Yahya, and cured his wife for him; indeed they used to hasten to perform good deeds, and pray to Us with hope and fear; and used to weep before Us. 90 AND [remember] her who guarded her chastity, whereupon We breathed into her of Our spirit and caused her, together with her son, to become a symbol [of Our grace] unto all people. 91 Verily this community of yours is a single community, and I am your Lord; so worship Me. 92 And others have shattered their works into pieces among themselves; all have to return to Us. 93
