۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 and we are a host on our guard.' 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two bodies saw each other, the people of Moses said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 And We saved Moosa and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
