The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
