The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
