The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except the Lord of the Universe. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
