The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
