The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
