The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
