The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
