The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
