And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus do We cause to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
