And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
