The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA SIN. THESE are the verses of the Qur'an, and collection of explicit laws, 1 A guidance and glad tidings unto the believers. 2 Those who establish regular prayers and give in regular charity, and also have (full) assurance of the hereafter. 3 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter – We have made their deeds seem good to them, so they are astray. 4 Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. 5 You have been conveyed the Qur'an from One all-wise and all-knowing. 6 [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." 7 Then when he came unto it, he was cried unto: Thus; Blest is whosoever is in the fire and whosoever is around it; and hallowed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. 8 Moses, behold, it is I, God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 9 Throw down your staff." When he saw it wriggling like a serpent he turned his back and fled without turning (to look). "O Moses," (said the voice), "be not fearful. Surely those sent as messengers do not fear in My presence, 10 Neither he who has been unjust, then he does good instead after evil, for surely I am the Forgiving, the Merciful: 11 "Now put thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm): (these are) among the nine Signs (thou wilt take) to Pharaoh and his people: for they are a people rebellious in transgression." 12 And when Our signs came as distinct proofs, they said: "This is only magic." 13 And they denied them unjustly and proudly while their soul had been convinced of them; consider, then how was the end of the mischief-makers. 14
