The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 Say, “It could be that a part of what you are impatient for is (already) after you.” 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And it certainly is a Guide and a Mercy to those who believe. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
