And verily we sent Noah (as Our messenger) unto his folk, and he continued with them for a thousand years save fifty years; and the flood engulfed them, for they were wrong-doers. 14 Then We delivered him and those in the ark, and made it a sign unto the worlds. 15 And (remember) Ibrahim – when he said to his people, “Worship Allah and fear Him; that is better for you, if you knew!” 16 You worship idols besides God and fabricate falsehoods. Those whom you worship besides God have no power to provide sustenance for you. So seek your sustenance from God and worship Him and be grateful to Him, for to Him you shall return. 17 “And if you deny, then many nations have denied before you; and the Noble Messenger is not responsible except to plainly convey (the message).” 18 What! do they not consider how Allah originates the creation, then reproduces it? Surely that is easy to Allah. 19 Say: “Go about the earth and see how He created for the first time, and then Allah will recreate life.” Surely, Allah has power over everything. 20 He chastises whom He will and forgives whom He will. To Him all of you will be sent back. 21 You are not able to frustrate Him either in the earth or heaven, nor have you, other than Allah, a guardian or helper. 22
