28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Say, "It has been revealed to me that a band of the jinn listened [to the Quran] and they said, "We have heard a really wonderful recital, 1 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. 2 and exalted is the majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 'And verily, we thought that men and jinns would not utter a lie against Allah. 5 And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah); 6 and that “they thought, even as you thought, that Allah would never raise anyone (as a Messenger)”; 7 "'And [so it happened] that we reached out towards heaven: but we found it filled with mighty guards and flames, 8 And that we used to sit in some of the sitting-places thereof to steal a hearing, but he who would (try to) listen now would find a flame lying in wait for him: 9 And so we know not whether evil is intended for those in the earth, or whether their Lord intends for them rectitude. 10 Some of us are righteous, but some are otherwise, we are sects that differ. 11 We knew that we could never challenge God whether we stayed on earth or fled elsewhere. 12 'And indeed when we heard the Guidance (this Quran), we believed therein (Islamic Monotheism), and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in punishment for his sins. 13 And that some of us are those who submit, and some of us are the deviators; so whoever submits, these aim at the right way: 14 ‘And as for the unjust – they are the fuel of hell.’” 15 And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision 16 So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement: 17 All places of worship are for God; so do not invoke any one with God. 18 Do not prostrate before anyone other than Him. When the servant of God (Muhammad) preached (his message) the jinn would all crowd around him. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
