Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are verses of the Book of Wisdom 2 A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 They are on guidance from their Lord, and will prosper. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
