۞ O men! It is you who stand in need of God -- God is self-sufficient, and praiseworthy -- 15 If He wills, He can take you away and bring other creatures. 16 And this is not hard to Allah. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 Not alike are the blind and the seeing. 19 Nor are the darknesses and the light, 20 Nor shade and heat of sunshine. 21 Nor alike are the living and the dead. Verily Allah maketh whomsoever He listeth to hear and thou canst not make them hear who are in the graves. 22 thou art naught but a warner. 23 We have sent you with the truth, to give glad tidings and to warn. Never has there been a community to which an admonisher was not sent. 24 And if they belie thee, then surely those before them have also belied. Their apostles came unto them with evidences and scriptures and a Book luminous. 25 Then I seized those who denied the Truth, and how terrible was My punishment! 26
