Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 Most surely you are one of the apostles 3 on a Straight Way, 4 the sending down of the All-mighty, the All-wise, 5 so that you may warn a people whose ancestors were not warned before wherefore they are heedless. 6 Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have enchained their necks up to their chins. Thus, they cannot bend their heads (to find their way). 8 and We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier; and We have covered them, so they do not see. 9 And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
