Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the wise Qur'an, 2 You (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) are indeed one of the Noble Messengers. 3 on a straight path, 4 the sending down of the All-mighty, the All-wise, 5 So that you may warn these people whose ancestors were not warned, they are therefore unaware. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We have placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier, so We have covered them, so that they see not. 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 We shall surely bring the dead back to life and We record what they send ahead and what they leave behind. We have recorded everything in a clear book. 12
