Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya'. Sin. 1 By oath of the wise Qur’an. 2 Lo! thou art of those sent 3 On a Straight Way. 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Assuredly the word hath been justified against most of them, wherefore they shall not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see. 9 Whether you warn them or do not warn, it is all the same; they will not believe. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. 12
