Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
YA SIN. 1 Consider this Qur'an full of wisdom: 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 upon the straight path. 4 the sending down of the All-mighty, the All-wise, 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 The Phrase has become obligatory upon most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 You warn only him who follows the advice and fears the Most Gracious without seeing; therefore give him glad tidings of forgiveness and an honourable reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
