The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
