The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few from the latter. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 and spreading shade 30 near to flowing water 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And raised couches; 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For those on the right. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
