Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
