And a sign for them is the dead land, that We quickened and brought forth from it grain, whereof they eat; 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Holy is He who created all things in pairs; of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and other things which they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip it of the day and lo, they are in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 It is only Our Mercy (that rescues them) and enables enjoyment of life for a while. 44 But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... " 45 And not a sign cometh unto them of the signs of their Lord, but they are ever backsliders therefrom. 46 And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 then they will not be able to make any testament, nor will they return to their people. 50
