Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
