The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
