The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
