Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 High has He reared its vault and formed it in accordance with what it was meant to be; 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 And the earth He extended after that; 30 and then brought from it its water and pastures. 31 And the mountains He set firm 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 Then, when the Great Catastrophe comes 34 the human being will recall whatever he has done. 35 And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,- 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 And had preferred the life of this world, 38 surely, Hell will be their refuge. 39 But, whosoever feared the standing before his Lord and prevented the self from desires, 40 surely Paradise shall be the refuge. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 In what [position] are you that you should mention it? 43 Your Lord alone knows when it will come; 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46
