In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
