The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
