۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 and so we became deserving of the Word of our Lord that we shall be made to suffer chastisement. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 Then, are we not to die 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
