۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For the like of this, then, let them labour, those who labour [in God's way]! 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
