Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
