1/2 Hizb 45

۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Are we not then to die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
