۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 On couches facing one another; 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 What, do we then not die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
