Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
