3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
